Summary
NewsDataHub uses artificial intelligence to aggregate, group, summarize, and translate news. In line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act, this page explains exactly which content on this site is AI-generated, how it is labeled, and which content is not AI-generated.
What is AI-generated
- Topic titles and summaries — every topic card's headline and summary text is generated by a large language model (Anthropic Claude or local open-weight models) from the linked, human-written source articles. No human editorial review takes place. These are marked with an "AI-generated" label on each card.
- Daily news digests and blog posts — the articles in the News and Blog sections are written by AI from the day's aggregated topics and carry a clearly visible notice at the top.
- Translations — the German, French, Spanish, and Italian versions of this site are machine-translated (Opus-MT, Helsinki-NLP). Topic text from non-English sources is also machine-translated into English.
What is NOT AI-generated
- Original article headlines and links — the source articles listed under each topic and in the live ticker are human-written journalism from our 371 news sources, shown verbatim and always linked to the original.
- Market data — prices and market statistics are factual exchange data, not AI output.
- Static pages — About, Imprint, Privacy, and Legal pages are human-written.
Other uses of AI (not content-generating)
AI and algorithmic methods are also used behind the scenes for topic clustering, tag and entity extraction, ticker categorization, and source-quality scoring (based on Media Bias/Fact Check and RSF data). These processes organize content but do not write published prose beyond what is labeled above.
Machine-readable marking
Pages with AI-generated content carry the IPTC digital source type trainedAlgorithmicMedia in their structured data (JSON-LD), so software and search engines can detect the marking automatically.
